The implementation of standardized grading production practices within the mass market has been challenging for scholars experimenting with zero-waste apparel design. purpose this research was to test efficacy Carrico Zero-waste Banded Grading (CZWBG) technique, which utilizes bands inserted in strategic locations as a method patterns across various consumer categories. An additional evaluate ways approach affected aesthetic outcomes garments size run, and determine whether overall design process designers involved. Through experimental design, six successfully tested incorporated CZWBG technique one or two-piece item(s), subsequently developing three sizes an industry-specified range their product category.
